As an orthopedic surgeon focused on minimally invasive surgical techniques, Dr. Kevin Crawford's expertise includes arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, and elbow with an emphasis on advanced arthroscopic techniques. Dr. Field Scovell is the newest member of Lubbock Sports Medicine. A 1992 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas he attended Texas Tech University as a walk on football player earning a scholarship after his first year. He continued his education at Tech by attending Medical School. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in 2007.

Dr. John Field Scovell III
Dr. Shephard is an orthopaedic surgeon committed to the reconstruction of arthritic joints. He is focused on the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and all other forms of joint destruction by means of surgical preservation and replacement of affected joints. In a recent effort to focus on providing the most modern treatment options he has completed a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
