Job description
Lubbock Sports Medicine is looking for an experienced and eager Medical Assistant. You will work alongside fellow Medical Assistants, Clinic Coordinators, Physician Assistants, and Doctors. You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Insurance Authorizations (MRIs, injections, etc.)
- Staple & Suture Removal
- Answering & Returning Patient Phone Calls
- Rooming Patients and Obtaining History & Vitals
- Scheduling Appointments
- Being The Liaison Between Patient & Provider
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Allied Healthcare Professional is Preferred (Medical Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Athletic Trainer, etc.)
Work Experience:
- Previous Work Experience in Healthcare is Preferred
- Previous Work Experience in Orthopedics is Preferred
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Allied Healthcare Profession License or Certification (Required)
Skills:
- Experience With EHR (Electronic Health Records) is Preferred
- Bracing & Casting is Preferred
- Drawing Injections is Preferred
- Basic Computer Skills Required
- Friendly and Willing to Learn
Job Type: Full-time
Hours:
- Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM (Lunch from 12:00-1:00)
- Friday 8:00AM-12:00PM
