Dr. Stephen Flores
Dr. Stephen A. Flores is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Flores is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and received his medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He completed his Orthopedic residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and his fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine at TOCA/University of Arizona College of Medicine, affiliated with Mayo Clinic Scottsdale.
While in fellowship, he had the privilege of working with numerous athletic teams including Arizona State University Sun Devil Athletics, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Brewers, and local high school teams.
Dr. Flores provides athletic coverage throughout West Texas. He is a Team Physician for Texas Tech University Athletics. He has been the head team Orthopedic Physician for Lubbock Christian University Athletics since 2018. He is also the head Orthopedic Consultant for Lubbock Independent School District Athletics since 2020. Additionally, he works with numerous athletic trainers throughout the region to provide musculoskeletal care for their high school athletes.
Dr. Flores is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Flores is committed to providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care for our patient community at the highest standards. In addition to Sports Medicine injuries, Dr. Flores evaluates and treats general injuries and musculoskeletal conditions including:

- Arthritis
- Tendon, Ligament, and Muscular Injuries
Dr. Flores is an active member of the community and holds membership across several medical societies. As a native Texan, his hobbies include golf, guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family.
