Charity Purser, MSN/FNP-C

With over 20 years of experience, Charity Purser, MSN/FNP-C, provides a wealth of knowledge and experience to patients seeking surgical or non-surgical orthopedic care. Charity is a native West Texan from Vega, Texas. She earned her nursing degree from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2000. Charity obtained her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner degree from West Texas A&M University in 2004.

Charity joined Lubbock Sports Medicine in 2003. She worked with Dr. Stephen Cord, providing orthopedic care to high school and collegiate athletes until his retirement in 2017. Charity then worked with Dr. Bryan Smitherman for six years, providing joint replacement orthopedic care. In October 2023, Charity returned to Lubbock Sports Medicine to work with Dr. Jordan Simpson. Charity works closely with Dr. Simpson to care for their patients in all aspects of patient care.

Charity lives in Lubbock with her husband, Tim, daughter, Mckanna, and step-son Benjamin. Outside of work, Charity enjoys traveling with her family and watching her daughter play softball. You might also catch her cheering on her Texas Tech Red Raiders as a proud alumni.
