Tyler Branham, PA-C

Tyler Branham joined Lubbock Sports Medicine in 2021 as the Physician Assistant to Dr. Jordan Simpson. He is a native of Lubbock, TX and a graduate of Lubbock Christian High School. He attended Lubbock Christian University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2012. He then earned his Master of Athletic Training Degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in 2016. Upon graduating TTUHSC, Tyler served as an Athletic Trainer for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He has athletic training experience at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels.

In 2018, Tyler was accepted to the PA program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth where he earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in 2021. After graduating, he moved back to Lubbock and began working at Lubbock Sports Medicine. He works closely with Dr. Simpson to care for their patients, and he is involved in all aspects of patient care including office visits, assisting in surgery, and rounding in the hospital.

He is a member of the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) Pi Alpha Honor Society. Membership in Pi Alpha signifies academic achievements and honors its members for their leadership and community/professional service. He is also an active member of the Texas Association of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of PAs, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Southwest Athletic Trainer’s Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. 

Tyler lives in Lubbock with his wife, Lauren, and daughter, Nora. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, grilling, and travelling with family. He also enjoys attending Texas Tech sporting events and watching the Texas Rangers.
